OKLAHOMA CITY – The race for state treasurer pits a government finance expert against a political newcomer who says he does not expect to win.State Auditor and Inspector Cindy Byrd, a Republican, faces Libertarian Kiefer Perry on the Nov. 3 ballot.“I probably know more about the finances of Oklahoma, both at the state and local government, than most officials serving,” said Byrd, who is term limited as state auditor.
